Sportable, the cutting-edge smart-tracking technology company, and Sage, the industry leader in accounting, financial, HR, and payroll tech for small and mid-sized businesses, are excited to announce an enhanced partnership to bring AI led insights to the world’s biggest sports, while reinforcing the brands’ commitment to STEM education.
Sportable specialises in advanced technology that tracks players and balls across various high-profile sports. Utilising proprietary hardware supported by AI and Machine Learning, Sportable transforms thousands of data points into real-time, automated insights on player and ball movements during games and practices. These insights empower players, coaches, and teams to make informed decisions for performance improvement, tactics, and recruitment, while fans and broadcasters benefit from immediate game analysis.
This partnership will extend Sage's existing STEM programme, titled ‘Tackling Insights,’ to support 1,200 school children in the North East. Leveraging the AI capabilities within Sportable's smart ball, Sage aims to address the STEM talent gap in the UK. With increased funding, Tackling Insights will reach twice as many year eight school children from underprivileged areas.
The joint venture will also lead to the formation of a Global Sports Index, which is being developed by Sportable and Sage to provide AI-driven insights within the sports realm, identifying trends and offering a deeper understanding of key performance indicators and game strategies across numerous sports.
Dugald Macdonald, Co-Founder and CEO of Sportable, expressed excitement about the partnership:
We are proud to announce this partnership between Sportable and Sage. The Sportable team has created a fantastic, applied technology product that is proven to bring new levels of insight into elite sport both from a performance and fan engagement perspective. To have an opportunity to further bring that to life in partnership with an organisation like Sage, and usher in an accelerated period of growth and learning as a result, is truly exciting”.
Cath Keers, Chief Marketing Officer of Sage, commented:
“Every day, Sage surfaces insights for customers that help them make the best business decisions. We know sporting success relies on the same blend of insight and instinct, so we’re excited about the potential of this partnership”.
